delivery post covid

Due to COVID-19, the entire hospitality industry has been taken by storm. Countless brands have been shut down entirely as quarantines begin. Similarly, most restaurants and retailers have responsibly ceased all dine-in operations, leading to the prioritization of takeout and delivery.

In addition to posing staffing issues, COVID-19 has forced brands to adapt and reallocate resources to make ends meet. Store operations are changing quickly, forcing restaurants and retailers to take additional precautions to ensure that the health and safety of both their employees and their customers aren’t compromised. However, this is much easier said than done.

Working with restaurant and retail operators on a daily basis, we’ve seen how our customers have been adapting to the challenges presented by COVID-19 and want to extend a helping hand to the rest of the hospitality industry. For this reason, we decided to host a webinar on April 2nd to discuss shifting the focus to takeout and delivery amidst COVID-19. Our goal is to help everyone be as profitable as possible while prioritizing the health and safety of employees and customers via avenues like take-out and delivery.

The webinar was one hour in length, consisting primarily of MeazureUp COO, Ray Abramson, asking COVID-19 related questions to a panel of industry experts consisting of three successful CEOs. More details on the panelists can be found below:

Dr. Muhamad Fakih, CEO of Paramount Fine Foods

As CEO, Dr. Fakih took Paramount Fine Foods from near bankrupt to the fastest growing Middle Eastern restaurant chain in North America. In his spare time, Dr. Fakih regularly participates in fundraising events, affiliated with organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, Islamic Relief Worldwide and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Tom Missios, Founder & CEO of ERC Consulting

Tom is the founder and CEO of ERC Restaurant Consulting. Tom gained over 30 years of experience after working in operations for prominent industry leaders including Wendy’s, Tim Horton’s, and Quizno’s. Tom’s recent focus has been to help restaurants assess, pivot, and find demand while developing continuity amidst COVID-19.

Alex Rechici, Founder & CEO of Crave IT Restaurant Group

Alex is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crave it Restaurant Group. Crave It Restaurants owns and operates The Burger’s Priest, Via Cibo Italian Street Food and Bangkok Buri. Prior to Crave It, Alex was Co-Founder and CEO of Extreme Brandz which owned Extreme Pita and Mucho Burrito with over 300 locations across North America and Internationally. Extreme Brandz was acquired by MTY in 2013.
